“ I am not a pancake person, however we split a full order of corn beef hash made from scratch and a short stack of pancakes with strawberry/rhubarb compote. The hash was really good but the pancakes blew me away! I talked to a lady from Houghton that advised me Slim’s is the best breakfast place in the Keweenaw and I have to agree! She claimed the breakfast skillets were awesome and maybe next time we will try those! Definitely my go to breakfast place in a world that knows less about making things fresh and from scratch anymore! A and kudo’s to Slim’s. Came back downstate with baked goods from Slim’s, the oatmeal raisin cookies are done if the best I have ever had in my life! Buttery and great taste! Wishing now that I would have brought more back south! ”

“ We stopped by Slim’s on the way to Copper Harbor. They make pasties on Thursdays so we were able to order several. They were delicious! We also ordered a cup of chili, corn chowder and spicy fries. All were excellent and had a lot of flavor. It’s a quaint place with friendly servers. We also saw a spicy breakfast skillet come out of the kitchen that looked amazing! Definitely recommend!! ”
